DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  1. Will support and comply with the Rock Point Community School philosophy, mission, and vision statement.
  2. Will have four (4) hours Prevention of Sexual Harassment training annually.
  3. Will have two (2) hours of SCAN procedures and reporting annually.
  4. Be in compliance and maintain confidentiality according to FERPA (Family Educational Rights & Privacy Act).
  5. Create flex-access scheduling for staff and students.
  6. Maintain current circulation records.
  7. Troubleshoot several computer systems, such as databases, Internet access, word processor software, and library workstation computers.
  8. Assist in teaching research and study skills to students including internet safety and digital citizenship.
  9. Reshelf books according to filing systems.
  10. Maintain accurate material checkout records (multimedia)
  11. Inventory/Order books, periodicals, etc.
  12. Assist staff and students with computer training and usage.
  13. Assist in monitoring internet access by students and staff to ensure appropriate use.
  14. Assist with other duties to ensure student safety.
  15. Working with academic and administration staff in obtaining media materials.
  16. Coordinate programs related to literacy.
  17. Coordinate/Facilitate local book fair.
  18. Maintain purchase orders / records for Follett – Destiny.
  19. Establishes, maintains, and supports positive and effective working relationships with all colleagues, departments, outside agencies, and stakeholders including online communication, such as the usage of social media.
  20. Performs other duties as assigned.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

 

  1. AA degree or 60 college credit hours.
  2. Preferred experience in an educational setting.
  3. Conducts duties and responsibilities in accordance with the RPCS Policy and Procedures, and other reporting policies and procedures of the tribe, state, and federal government.
  4. Must have minimal knowledge of Dine language, culture, history, traditions, and its people for compliance in all aspects of educational programs.
  5. Have current CPR & 1st Aide Certification and basic safety training.
